Foreign Minister meets with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Peninsula Affairs

Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met today at the Ministry with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Peninsula Affairs, H.E. Mr. Daniel Benaim.

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister expressed his pride in the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly United States of America and its development in all fields, stressing Bahrain’s keenness to promote frameworks of bilateral cooperation and joint coordination to serve the common interests of the two friendly countries and people, noting the prominent American role in ensuring the security and stability of the region.

For his part, Mr. Benaim praised the course of strong historical relations between the two friendly countries, expressing the appreciation of the United States for the development and growth that these relations have reached at various levels. He also appreciated the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its effective contribution to supporting international efforts to promote security and stability in light of the challenges the region is going through, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.

The two sides also reviewed a number of topics and issues of common interest during the meeting, in addition to ways to promote bilateral cooperation to meet the common interests of the two countries.

The meeting was attended by the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Political Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chief of American Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Shaikh Abdulla bin Ali Al Khalifa, and Chief of Human Rights Affairs H.E. Ambassador Dr. Arwa Hasan Alsayed.

It was also attended by the Chargé d’Affaires of U.S. Embassy to Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. Mrs. Maggie Nardi.
