Assistant Foreign Minister participates in 2nd meeting of Arab Ministerial Committee on following up on Turkish interference in Arab countries internal affairs

The Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla bin Faisal bin Jabur Al-Doseri, participated in the first meeting of the Arab Ministerial Committee on following up on the Turkish interference in Arab countries internal affairs, chaired by the Arab Republic of Egypt. The meeting was held today at the League’s headquarters, on the sidelines of the meeting of the 155th Ordinary Session of Arab League Council at the Ministerial Level.

The committee discussed the persistence of Turkish interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries, as it condemned the Turkish military presence on the lands of a number of Arab countries and all forms of aggressive Turkish interference in Arab internal affairs, which aim to undermine their stability, in parallel with the employment of its media platforms and incitement to use violence and carrying weapons, especially in Syria, Libya and Iraq, in addition to hosting elements of terrorist groups such as the Brotherhood, and providing safe haven for them, and the repeated Turkish violations of the Security Council resolutions related to imposing an arms embargo on Libya.

It also condemned the ongoing violations and blatant encroachment from the Turkish side on the sovereignty of some Arab countries, whether through direct intervention or through support for terrorist and extremist groups and organizations, which calls for Arab and international action to counter this malicious Turkish approach, and confronting it at all levels, as it is a grave violation of the international law and relevant Security Council resolutions and a grave threat to Arab national security.

The committee condemned the Turkish endeavor to change the demographic composition in some Arab areas under its occupation, such as northeastern Syria, stressing the illegality of the presence of Turkish forces in the Republic of Iraq, the State of Libya and the Syrian Arab Republic, and the need to withdraw all its forces unconditionally. It also underlined the need take all necessary measures to confront the operations of sponsoring, recruiting, training and transporting of foreign terrorists and mercenaries inside the Arab countries.

It also called on the Turkish regime to immediately stop violating the water rights of both the Republic of Iraq and the Syrian Arab Republic, which negatively affected the water quotas of the two Arab countries, as well as the severe environmental and economic damage it causes to both countries.
