NATO meeting on Ukraine, Minister Xhaçka: More needs to be done, war endangers peace and security of all Europe

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, participated in the extraordinary meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of NATO countries, which was held in Brussels.

Minister Xhaçka stressed that more needs to be done to stop the unjustified attack on Ukraine.

According to the Albanian chief diplomat, this war is not just a war for the survival of Ukraine, but a war for peace and security on the European continent.

“I want to guarantee the Albanian citizens, who have shown an extraordinary solidarity with the Ukrainian people during these days by collecting  humanitarian aid, that the role played by Albania has been much appreciated by the allies and that together with them we will continue the good work as we have done during the past weeks in the Security Council, NATO, the OSCE, the Council of Europe and other international forums where we can offer our support to the Ukrainian people,” said Minister Xhaçka in a statement to the media after the meeting.

Albania has joined 37 allies in referring the issue of Russian aggression to the International Criminal Court, which will investigate it for war crimes.
