Albania- USA, strategic partnership dialogue held in Washington DC

Secretary Blinken expressed the US’s gratitude to Albania as an ally that has always assumed its responsibilities; appreciated the fact that Albania sheltered Afghan citizens and underlined that the USA will always be by our country’s side.
Chief diplomat Xhaçka thanked Secretary Blinken and the USA government for their support and cooperation in the defense of democracy, the situation in Ukraine, cyber security, the modernization of the Armed Forces or development projects in the field of energy.
This was the guarantee given by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka and US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken at the conclusion of the strategic partnership dialogue.
“Albania highly values its strategic partnership with the USA and we are convinced that this relationship will be further deepened and expanded in the future, based on the stable foundations of friendship between our countries and people”, said Minister Xhaçka during the meeting of the two delegations.
Albania and the USA reaffirm their strategic partnership and commit to continue cooperation of mutual interest in areas such as defense, cyber security, energy, transport or trade.
During the meeting of the two delegations, Secretary Blinken mentioned that the USA is proud to have a reliable ally like our country. He appreciated the cooperation in all fields, expressed the willingness, of the US side to deepen the cooperation in energy, business and others areas, considering Albania as a point of reference in the region.
On Tuesday Octobre26, the most important meeting of the political relationship between the two countries was held at the Department of State: the US-Albania strategic partnership dialogue. Representatives attending the dialogue involved six Albanian ministries as well as from the Department of State, the Department of Defense, the Department of Trade, the Financial Corporation for International Development, as well as other government agencies where they discussed ways to deepen strategic cooperation.
