Today within Washington, D. C., Oughout. S. Under Secretary associated with State for Economic Development, Energy, and the Environment Jose W. Fernandez and Croatian Minister of Finance Marko Primorac signed a comprehensive treaty for the avoidance of dual taxation between the United States plus Croatia.
A long-term and shared goal for the two countries, this particular treaty, subject to advice plus consent to ratification by the U. S. Senate through the Croatian Parliament, will help both Americans and Croatians avoid double taxation. Avoiding double taxation can enable Croatian firms to interact in the U. S. market more fluidly, enhancing U. S. -Croatia economic cooperation and bolstering private-sector development between the countries.
