Both sides discussed the protection and resilience of critical infrastructure, offered updates on their respective nationwide cyber policies, and changed views on bilateral internet cooperation and developments in regional and international fora. Participants explored brand new ways for the United States and the Republic of Korea to market an open, interoperable, secure, plus reliable Internet and steady cyberspace. In particular, america and the Republic of Korea reaffirmed their commitment in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation to counter DPRK cyber risks, including the DPRK’s efforts to create revenue through malicious internet activity to support the regime’s unlawful weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile programs.
