Today Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken presided over the launch of the new Office of China Dexterity, informally known as China House.
China House is a key component of the Secretary’s modernization agenda, which is focused on equipping the Department to satisfy the challenges and seize the opportunities of the 10 years ahead. The Secretary and Department leadership are usually committed to ensuring we have the talent, tools, and resources to successfully execute Oughout. S. policy and strategy towards the PRC as the the majority of complex and consequential geopolitical challenge we face.
As the Secretary observed in his remarks this morning, Tiongkok House brings together a group of Tiongkok experts from throughout the Division and beyond it to operate shoulder to shoulder with colleagues from every regional bureau and experts within international security, economics, technologies, multilateral diplomacy, and strategic communications. It will function the entire Department.

China Home will ensure the Oughout. S. government is able to sensibly manage our competition using the People’s Republic of China and taiwan (PRC) and advance the vision for an open, comprehensive international system. Our own goal in creating Cina House is to help provide on elements of the Administration’s approach to the PRC.
Improved coordination means nimbler and more consistent policy in the State Department. This means we are better positioned to work alongside our allies and partners and to engage even more seriously with every country which the Department works.
