Removal of Iran from the UN Commission rate on the Status of Women

The protests across Iran, activated by the tragic death of Mahsa Amini while in the guardianship of the so called “morality police, ” reveal an Iranian population craving the common human rights to which everyone worldwide is entitled.
The United States is proud to have worked with ECOSOC partners to eliminate Iran from the Commission within the Status of Women, a body whose values and objective the regime makes a mockery of. The United States reiterates the unwavering support for the individuals of Iran.
In response to these presentations, the regime has unsuccessfully attempted to suppress Iranian sounds by killing hundreds of relaxing protestors, including dozens of kids, and arbitrarily detaining thousands. Iranian courts have released harsh sentences to protestors, including the death penalty, following sham trials.
Today’s vote with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to remove Iran from the UN’s Commission over the Status of Women sends a good unmistakable message of support from around the world to the courageous people of Iran, specifically to Iranian women and young ladies, who remain undaunted inspite of the brutality and violence perpetrated against them by the Iranian regime.
