Brand new Permanent Representative of Tuvalu Gifts Credentials

Born in 1968, Mister.   Falefou holds a doctoral degree from the University of Waikato in New Zealand, a master’s diploma in diplomacy and worldwide public policy from the Aussie National University and a bachelor’s degree in public administration and management from the University of the South Pacific in Vanuatu, among other certifications. From 2019 in order to 2021, he was Principal Adviser to the Prime Minister in his capacity as Seat of the Pacific Islands Forum.   From March 2020 to August 2021, this individual served as Chair associated with COVID-19 Regional Task Drive, and he also co-chaired — alongside Tuvalu’s Prime Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) — the country’s nationwide COVID-19 Task Force. Among other functions performed in that period, Mr.   Falefou was Chair of all conferences of the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility scheme, from 2019 to 2021.   He was also Chair of the Tasks Review Committee, Chair of the Lands Management Committee plus Chair of the National Catastrophe Committee.   In addition , this individual oversaw the country’s whole civil service and had been responsible for assessing the overall performance of all Chief Executive Officers plus Heads of Ministries. Prior to their appointment, Mr.   Falefou served since 2020 since Secretary to the Government associated with Tuvalu, with job functions ranging from Principal Adviser towards the Prime Minister to Primary Adviser to the Cabinet, to Head of Tuvalu’s Community Service. Through August 2019 to 03 2020, Mr.   Falefou served as Tuvalu’s Long term Secretary for Justice, Communication and Foreign Affairs.   From August 2017 to July 2019, he has been its Permanent Secretary meant for Communication and Transport.   From January 2011 in order to January 2014, he was the country’s Permanent Secretary with regard to Foreign Affairs, Trade, Tourism, Environment and Labour, plus from September 2006 to December 2008, he was its Permanent Secretary to get Communication, Transport and Travel and leisure.
