From 2010 to 2014, she was Assistant Minister/Special Assistant to the Minister with regard to Foreign Affairs of Liberia. The new Permanent Representative of Liberia to the United Nations, Dorothy Safyn Fyneah, presented the girl credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres today. Ms. Fyneah earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of Liberia, a post-graduate diploma in contemporary diplomacy and international relations from your Gabriel L. Dennis International Service Institute and a master’s degree in development research from Addis Ababa College in Ethiopia, among various other certifications. Just before her appointment, she served as Minister Plenipotentiary/Deputy Main of Mission at Liberia’s Embassy in Washington, M. C. A career diplomat, Microsoft. Fyneah was Chargé d’Affaires ad interim in her country’s Embassy within Ethiopia — as well as the Permanent Mission to the Africa Union and to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa — from 2019 to 2021. She also served as Minister Counsellor/Deputy Head of Mission exact same Embassy from 2016 in order to 2019.
