His Excellency Dr Irfaan Ali and a high-level government team met with a delegation from the European External Action Service (EEAS) led by its Director/Deputy Managing Director for the Americas, Mr Javier Nino Perez this afternoon at the Office of the President on Shiv Chanderpaul Drive.
Mr Perez and his team were accompanied by the European Union’s Ambassador to Guyana, Mr Fernando Ponz Cantó.
President Ali was joined by Prime Minister, Brigadier (Ret’d), the Honourable Mark Phillips; Vice President, the Honourable Dr Bharrat Jagdeo; Senior Minister within the Office of the President with responsibility for Finance, the Honourable Dr Ashni Singh; Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Governance; the Honourable Gail Teixeira; Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Honourable Hugh Todd; Minister of Public Works, the Honourable Juan Edghill and Minister within the Ministry of Public Works, the Honourable Deodat Indar.
