A French delegation makes a working visit to Burundi

On thursday, february 03, 2022, the Permanent Secretary in the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, Mr. Ferdinand BASHIKAKO received in audience a French delegation led by the Ambassador of France in Burundi, His Excellency Mr. Jérémie BLIN.

 

In their talks, the two sides said they were satisfied with the situation prevailing in Burundi in the field of Peace and Security and the implementation of the National Development Plan of Burundi 2018-2027 as well as the objectives of the and Responsible and Laborious Government  “Reta Mvyeyi Reta Nkozi”.

According to Mrs. Helene N’GARNM-GANGA, Regional Director of the French Development Agency for East Africa, the AFD wishes to work closely with the Government of Burundi in the areas of Education, health, energy, in institutional capacity building and in the priority development projects that the Government of Burundi plans to carry out in the future. Let’s remind that AFD is a public institution that implements France’s policy in terms of development and international solidarity. Development is one of the three pillars of the Country’s external action.
