At the 18th Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of MIKTA, which brings together Mexico, Indonesia, South Korea, Turkey and Australia, Minister Çavuşoğlu thanked South Korea for her term and congratulated Australia as the incoming Chair.

Later that day, Minister Çavuşoğlu held a videoconference with his Norwegian counterpart Ine Eriksen Soreide and discussed our bilateral relations and recent developments in Nagorno-Karabakh, Syria, Libya and Eastern Mediterranean.

Minister Çavuşoğlu expressed that we had maintained our bilateral trade volume despite the pandemic, and we wished further cooperation in every field, particularly in energy.

Finally that day, Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the online seminar “The Power of Education Diplomacy in the 21st Century Turkish Foreign Policy” with our Education Counselors and Attachés and drew attention to the fact that the most effective element of Turkey’s soft power was education.
