Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Slovenia on 2 September 2019 to participate in the 14th Bled Strategic Forum and hold bilateral meetings.
Minister Çavuşoğlu addressed the Forum at the panel titled “Multilateralism at Crossroads”.
At the panel, Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized the importance of multilateralism against global challenges such as irregular migration and humanitarian crises and underlined that multilateralism did not actually compromise state sovereignty.
On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu had also meetings with President Borut Pahor and Prime Minister Marjan Šarec of Slovenia.
Later that day, Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Foreign Minister Miro Cerar of Slovenia.
At the meeting, our bilateral relations and regional issues were discussed.
Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that we would further increase our economic relations and mutual investments.
Finally, Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli of brotherly Kosovo.
At the meeting Minister Çavuşoğlu wished him a successful Chairmanship of the South-East European Cooperation Process.
