On 13 October 2020, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu had a meeting in Ankara with Foreign Minister Ann Linde of Sweden.
In the meeting our relations and regional issues including Armenia’s aggression were discussed.
Following the meeting, the two Ministers held a joint press conference.
Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that we expected concrete cooperation in the fight against terrorism, and that we wished success to Sweden for the incoming Term Presidency of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu attented the signing ceremony of the ‘Agreement on Technical Cooperation’ between Turkey and Japan.
Minister Çavuşoğlu thanked Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi and Ambassador Akio Miyajima of Japan for their contributions, and stated that our relations with our strategic partner Japan would further develop with that agreement.
Lastly, Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the videoconference meeting with Co-chair Jack Straw of the United Kingdom to discuss the preparations of the ‘Tatlıdil’ Forum.
Minister Çavuşoğlu noted that we would host the Forum next year in Turkey, and that the focus would be on new venues of cooperation in the post-Brexit era.
