The government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) respects the people of Libya’s pursuit of democracy and recognizes the National Transitional Council (NTC) as the sole legitimate governing authority for Libya. Taiwan is willing to work with the new Libyan government to promote various cooperative projects, so as to enhance substantive bilateral relations. It is hoped that the welfare of the Libyan people will be enhanced under the leadership of the new government. (E)
