The Government has appointed Mr Chaly Mah Chee Kheong as Singapore’s first Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Costa Rica.
Mr Mah is Chairman of the Singapore Tourism Board, Surbana Jurong Pte Ltd, Netlink NBN Management Pte Ltd and the Singapore Accountancy Commission. He is also Singapore’s Non-Resident High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea.
Mr Mah currently sits on the boards of several organizations including Capitaland Investments Ltd, Monetary Authority of Singapore and National University of Singapore. In the Public Service, Mr Mah held several appointments such as board member of the Economic Development Board and Sentosa Development Corporation. He was also Chairman of the Singapore Land Authority. Mr Mah was awarded the Public Service Medal in 2014.
Mr Mah graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. He is married to Ms Penny Khong Yim Mui and they have two sons.
