RESPONSE TO MEDIA RELEASE RE: “HEAD OF STATE AGREES FOR PARLIAMENT TO CONVENE”
(WEDNESDAY, 19 MAY 2021.)It has come to our understanding that a release such as the above has been released by a number of media outlets this afternoon.
I hereby confirm for the information of the public, that the Legislative Office has not received an official notice from the Office of the Head of State as of to date, for Parliament to convene for its State Opening.
Our Office remains vigilant as we anticipate such notice from His Highness.
I confirm, upon receiving the Head of State’s Proclamation, we shall act accordingly and publish it for public information no later than tomorrow.
