The Honourable Deputy Prime Minister also the Minister of Customs and Revenue, Afioga Tuala Tevaga Ponifasio and Associate Minister, Afioga Masinalupe Makesi Masinalupe were genially greeted by the Ministry of Customs and Revenue (MCR) through a greeting ceremony held on Friday, 6th of August, 2021.
The Honorable Deputy Prime Minister in his keynote address commended and acknowledged the Ministry’s collective efforts through revenue collection, trade facilitation and border security which assisted the government improved the standard of our economy and quality of life for our people. He also asserted that he will continue in his capacity as their Minister to assist MCR meets its strategic goals for the development of Samoa.
The CEO, Matafeo Avalisa Viali Fautua’alii on behalf of MCR Management and its Staff expressed their gratitude, welcoming their new Minister and Associate Minister, reiterating that the Ministry looks forward to working harder under their ministerial leadership and guidance, in the endeavours to achieve the government’s set goals and targets in each FY.
