The Ministry wishes to recognise and express gratitude to the Government and People of the State of Qatar for showing solidarity to Saint Vincentian and the Grenadines
by providing a contribution in the sum of five hundred thousand United States Dollars (US$500,000.00) through the Development Fund of the State of Qatar to assist in the ongoing relief and recovery following the La Soufrière eruptions. The donation was made via bank transfer to the account of the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines through the Bank of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The recovery efforts following the eruptions in April 2021 will be long-term and the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will continually work to mitigate the vulnerabilities of our country with this generous donation.
