The Ministry of the Foreign Affairs in Gaza presents to the Moroccan government and people its deepest condolences over the departure of Rayan after long days of relentless work by rescue teams. We also present our warmest condolences to Rayan’s family and lovers and pray to Allah to grant them patience.
The catastrophe of Rayan was really painful, but it has embodied a rare case of Arabic and Islamic unity and international humanitarian solidarity. The Palestinian people, in particular, have shown immense sympathy with the trapped child and his bereaved family, as we have been in a similar situation many times before due to the occupation’s bombing of houses, trapping the children under the rubble of their homes.
