The Mission organized Pakistan Culture Day in collaboration with the American University of Science and Technology (AUST), Beirut on 23rd February 2023. The event was attended by a large number of students and faculty members from various disciplines, who showed keen interest in socio-cultural diversity of Pakistan. Highlights of the event included display of Pakistani handicrafts, books, short documentaries on Pakistan as well as panaflexes depicting various aspects of the country.
The event was inaugurated jointly by H.E. Mr. Salman Athar, Ambassador of Pakistan and Prof. Hiam Sakr, President of the American University of Science and Technology (AUST)
During welcome speech, the President of AUST gave a short introduction of Pakistan and appreciated the Mission’s efforts for holding this cultural day to create awareness amongst the students about cultural diversity in Pakistan. On this occasion, the Ambassador, in his speech, briefed the students and participants regarding salient features of history, culture, economy, politics, human and natural resources of Pakistan.
During the event, the participants were served with variety of Pakistani cuisine which was greatly appreciated for its delicacy and taste.
