International Minister’s Visit to Indonesia (7-8 December 2022)

At the International Meeting on Afghan Women Education and learning, the Foreign Minister talked on the importance of education for girls and their participation within decision-making. He underlined the need for concrete and practical support programmes benefiting all parts of the society. Foreign Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) also reiterated Pakistan’s solid support for the well-being plus prosperity of the people of Afghanistan.
After conclusion of his trip to Indonesia, the Foreign Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) will travel to Singapore for an official visit.
At the invitation of the Foreign Minister of Indonesia, the Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari undertook an official visit to Bali, Indonesia on 7-8 December 2022.
Foreign Minister held a gathering with his counterpart from Philippines H. E. Retno Marsudi. The two Foreign Ministers evaluated the state of bilateral relationships and agreed to further reinforce dialogue at all levels plus pursue mutually beneficial cooperation. They also signed a landmark MoU on the establishment of a Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) at the Foreign Minister level. JMC will oversee mutually beneficial cooperation and market regular bilateral engagement.

During his visit, the Foreign Minister participated in the 15th Bali Democracy Forum and International Conference on Afghan Women Training.
At the Bali Democracy Forum, the International Minister said that democracy may be the foundation of an emancipated culture and people of Pakistan often strived for a people-centric democracy. He called for reform of international financial institutions and underscored the importance of democracies in building countries to collaborate within responding to common challenges.

In Bali, the particular Foreign Minister also held a meeting with the Foreign Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) of Bosnia-Herzegovina H. E. Dr . Bisera Turkovic and expressed Pakistan’s desire to additional strengthen bilateral engagement involving the two brotherly countries.
