Trees Planted in Russia in Memory of Chairman Kim Jong Il

Trees were planted in Khabarovsk City of Russia on May 21 to commemorate the 57th anniversary of start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) by Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Present at the tree-planting ceremony were officials concerned including those of the Ministry of Culture of the Khabarovsk Kraj Administration and the Deputy Consul General and Consuls of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) in Khabarovsk.

The participants planted trees of good species around the monument erected in the Utsyos Park (Muraviev-Amursky Park) to commemorate the visit of Chairman Kim Jong Il to the city and posed for a picture.

Assistant Manager of the Park said that it is an honor to plant trees in the Park visited by Chairman Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of his start of work at the C.C., WPK.

The Assistant Manager noted that the employees of the park could feel more deeply the Korean people’s profound reverence for their leader and their noble spirit, seeing Koreans take good care every day of the monument erected in the Park.

The trees planted today will grow to please the visitors to the Park and the monument and to help them know better about the history of the Russia-DPRK friendship, the Assistant Manager added.
