Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), sent a message of congratulations to Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and Nguyen Xuan Phuc, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (SRV), on September 2.
The message reads as follows.
I extend warm congratulations to Comrade General Secretary, Comrade President and the friendly Party, government and people of Vietnam on the occasion of the 76th founding anniversary of the SRV.
For the past 76 years since its foundation, the SRV is vigorously struggling to build socialism after achieving national liberation and country’s reunification.
I am pleased that the Vietnamese people are making progress in their efforts to implement the decisions of the 13th Party Congress and build a prosperous and civilized socialist state under the leadership of the CPV.
I am confident that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation developing on good terms between the two Parties and two countries would continue to develop in conformity with the spirits of the agreement reached at the historic summit in March 2019.
I sincerely wish Comrade General Secretary and Comrade President good health and greater success in the responsible work to lead the Party and state.
