The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), received a reply message from Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on February 2.
In the message, Nguyen Phu Trong on behalf of the Party, state and people of Vietnam and on his own behalf expressed sincere thanks to Kim Jong Un and, through him, to the Party, leadership and people of the DPRK as regards the congratulatory message sent to the 13th Congress of the CPV by the WPK Central Committee and warm congratulations sent to him by Kim Jong Un upon his reelection as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPV.
Nguyen Phu Trong said that the warm congratulations from the DPRK would greatly encourage the Vietnamese people in their efforts to build a developed country in the direction of socialism as soon as possible by advancing ceaselessly and vigorously along the road of making renovation, and building and safeguarding a powerful country.
He expressed hope that the two Parties and two countries would continue to cooperate more closely and develop creditably the friendly and cooperative relations of the long-standing tradition between Vietnam and the DPRK in the interests of the peoples of the two countries and for regional and global peace, stability and prosperity.
He wished the General Secretary happiness in good health and the DPRK bigger successes in accomplishing the cause of building a prosperous powerful country and providing people with happiness under the leadership of the WPK headed by the General Secretary.
