Photo Exhibition Held at Russian Embassy in DPRK

A photo exhibition was held at the Embassy of Russian Federation in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on August 3 to mark the 20th anniversary of the historic visit of Chairman Kim Jong Il to Russia and the 10th anniversary of his visit to the Siberian and Far Eastern Regions.

On display at the exhibition were photos dealing with the everlasting feats performed by Chairman Kim Jong Il and respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the development of the DPRK-Russia friendship through their energetic external activities.

Present there on invitation were Im Chon Il, Vice Foreign Minister, and officials concerned.

Present there were Alexandr Matsegora, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation, and Embassy members.

Speeches were made at the exhibition.

Speakers said that the historic visits of Chairman Kim Jong Il and respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to Russia served as significant events that made distinguishing contributions to further developing the DPRK-Russia friendly relations and ensuring peace and security of the region.

Meetings and talks between the supreme leaders of the two countries served as historic occasions for providing new motivation to the improved DPRK-Russia relations and laying a solid foundation for expanding multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, they stressed.

Saying that it is an important guarantee for achieving the prosperity of the peoples of the two countries to steadily consolidate and develop the friendly and cooperative relations on the principle of equality and mutual benefits, they expressed belief that the agreements reached at the DPRK-Russia summit meetings and talks would be successfully carried out by concerted efforts.
