On August 24, Chinese Newspaper “Global Times” carried an article headlined “The U.S. has moral responsibility for the refugee crisis in Afghanistan.”
The article noted that around 5 million Afghan people are fleeing their country which is reduced to ruins by the war, and that the new refugee crisis is directly linked to the political change caused by the hasty withdrawal of the U.S. troops. It continued as follows:
The U.S. is not a builder, but a destroyer.
The U.S. occupied Afghanistan to seek its hegemony and gain its geopolitical ambition, rather than reconstruct it.
The U.S. and the West are directly responsible for creating chaos in Afghanistan. They cannot shift their own responsibility onto the Afghan people and the neighbouring countries.
The above article convinced us once again that the U.S. is really a disturber and destroyer of world peace and security.
The peace-loving people of the world should make strenuous efforts to safeguard world peace and security.
