The Agreement between Nigeria, the UN Systems in Nigeria, and the UNICEF Country Office in Nigeria on the Handover Protocol for Children Encountered in the Course of Armed Conflict in Nigeria and the Lake Chad Basin Region, was signed by the Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Geoffrey Onyeama and the UNICEF Country Representative, Ms. Cristian Munduate on 30th September, 2022.
Other Participants at the signing ceremony included the Permanent Secretary, Fed. Min. of Women Affairs, Mr. Aliyu Shinkafi, the Representative of the Hon. Minister of Defence, UN Rep. ad interim Mr. Oliver Stolpe, and Mr. Ibrahim Sesay of UNICEF among other dignitaries.
