Travel Update: Singapore Vaccination Certification

We received many questions with regards to the new EU travel regulations that kick in on August 8. These measures require travelers aged 12 or over from all countries outside of the EU/EEA to show either a negative PCR test or a vaccination certificate upon arrival in the Netherlands.

Singapore vaccination certification accepted in the Netherlands

We are pleased to share the good news that we now received confirmation that the Netherlands will accept the vaccination certification from Singapore as well as the PCR-tests if needed! Hopefully this clarification will take away the uncertainty for travelers.

In case you do not have a vaccination certification, a PCR-test may be taken a maximum of 48 hours before departure. An antigen test may not be older than 24 hours. For up to date travel information please check: Checklist for entering or returning to the Netherlands from abroad | Coronavirus COVID-19 | Government.nl

Should you have further questions, please reach out to the Dutch ministry of Foreign Affairs. You can reach them through +31 247 247 247 or via their contact form: [link]

On August 25, from 12-1pm SGT, we will organize another consular webinar on travel between the Netherlands and Singapore, together with ADB-DutchCham. This event is open to all, please register through (Consular Affairs Q&A – ADB-DutchCham)

During this session we will provide more background information and answer any questions you may have, including on the new relaxed travel measures for certain European countries. We have not received indications that the Netherlands will be added to this list soon. Should we receive new information we will update you immediately.
