PRESIDENT OF MONGOLIA MR. UKHNAAGIIN KHURELSUKH MEETS WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN MR.SHAVKAT MIRZIYOYEV – Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia

The two Heads of State also noted that Mongolia and Uzbekistan, as landlocked and developing countries, would share development experiences and enhance cooperation in key sectors including tourism, agriculture, light industry, transportation and logistics.Furthermore, the leaders agreed to implement a joint project in agriculture and light industry, conclude an “Action Plan to Develop Trade and Economic Cooperation between Mongolia and Uzbekistan” in the near future, and exchange views on expanding collaboration in the regional and international arena and other topics of mutual interest.On 01 December 2023, the President of Mongolia, Mr. Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of the high-level meeting of the World Climate Action Summit held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.President Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev extended an invitation to President Mr. Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh to visit the Republic of Uzbekistan at his time of convenience.During the meeting, President Mr. Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh expressed his willingness to expand the friendly relations and cooperation as well as to strengthen the political dialogue and people-to-people links with Uzbekistan which shares historical, spiritual, cultural and heritage linkages with Mongolia.
