MONGOLIA ELECTED AS VICE PRESIDENT OF THE ASSEMBLY OF PARTIES OF THE INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT LAW ORGANIZATION – Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia

Ms. Narantungalag expressed Mongolia’s eagerness to further expand and strengthen cooperation with IDLO and its Member Parties.The Assembly of Parties of the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), headquartered in Rome, convened on the 28th of November, 2023.In her statement during the panel discussion, Ms. Narantungalag, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Mongolia, underscored that since Mongolia joined the IDLO in 2015, the organization has successfully executed numerous significant projects, including “Mongolian Institutional Integrity and Transparency”, “Child Protection and Enhancement Project” and “Strengthening Commercial Mediation”. Additionally, the Ambassador emphasized Mongolia’s commitment to advancing a global vision where every individual lives in dignity and equality, stressing the pivotal role of cultivating a society based on the principles of human rights, freedom and justice.At the General Assembly of Parties of the IDLO, elections took place for the positions of President, Vice President of the Assembly of Parties and Director General. The United States and Mongolia were nominated for the roles of President and Vice President, respectively. By acclamation, the United States secured the position of President, and Mongolia was elected as Vice President of the Assembly of Parties for the term 2024-2027. Ms. Jean Beagle retained her position as the Director General of the IDLO through re-election.
