MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS MS. BATTSETSEG BATMUNKH RECEIVED UNICEF REPRESENTATIVE IN MONGOLIA MR. EVARISTE KOUASSI-KOMLAN

Minister for International Affairs Ms. Batsetseg Batmunkh received UNICEF Representative in Mongolia Mr. Evariste Kouassi-Komlan on December 9, 2022. Both sides have got exchanged views on ongoing the projects that have been effectively implemented, such as decreasing smog related health complications within mothers and children, improving maternity healthcare, improving internet connectivity in schools plus improving accessibility of digital learning. UNICEF Representative Mr. Evariste Kouassi-Komlan guaranteed UNICEF’s continued support within providing with technical plus financial support to the Authorities of Mongolia and remarked that one of the main concentrates in implementing projects within the framework of the new country program will be in making certain the projects implemented is going to be accessible for every child. The new country program which will be applied jointly by the Government of Mongolia and UNICEF in 2023-2027, will focus its priorities under the following 6 objectives, which are in (1) health, nutrition and growth, (2) education, (3) kid protection, (4) water, sterilization, hygiene (WASH) and environment change, (5) social inclusion and evidence and (6) program effectiveness. Minister Ms. N. Batsetseg expressed her gratitude to UNICEF for the valuable contribution made to Mongolia’s socio-economic development goals, especially in the child development and protection places and extended her congratulations on the endorsement of the new Country Program document authorized in September of this calendar year during the UNICEF Executive Panel session. The new country program will be implemented jointly from the Government of Mongolia as well as the UNICEF from 2023 in order to 2027.
