The Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Igawahara Masaru on 17 January 2024.Also, they agreed to support the youth exchanges and prioritize cooperation in the fields of culture and education as 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of cultural relations between the two countries.During the meeting, Minister B.Battsetseg informed the Ambassador about the Mongolian Government’s decision to render humanitarian assistance regarding the natural disaster in Ishikawa prefecture of the Noto peninsula. In response, Ambassador Igawahara expressed his sincere gratitude on behalf of the Japanese state, Government and people for expressing condolences from the Mongolian side and taking prompt decision to render humanitarian assistance.The sides exchanged views on intensifying high-level political dialogues, advancing major economic and investment projects and programs and reiterated to strengthening the “Special Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity” and expanding the regional and international cooperation.
