On 29 February 2024, His Excellency Davaasuren Damdinsuren, Ambassador of Mongolia to Australia, met with Mr Gary Cowan, First Assistant Secretary of the South and Central Asia Division at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia, and exchanged views on current bilateral relations and cooperation.During the meeting, First Assistant Secretary Gary Cowan expressed sympathy for Mongolia’s challenging situation due to natural disaster dzud and conveyed that the Australian Government has decided to donate 250,000 Australian dollars to help the affected people in overcoming the disaster. The donation will be channeled through the Australian Red Cross to the Mongolian Red Cross.
