They also spoke about the situation in Haiti, where the Minister conveyed gratitude to Canada for its continued engagements with the member states of CARICOM on the issue. She thanked Canada for its partnership with the Seasonal Agricultural Workers’ Programme, noting the importance of the programme in improving the socio-economic status of Jamaicans.
Matters related to gender equality and tourism were also discussed.
The Minister noted the strong, vibrant and longstanding partnership that Jamaica and Canada enjoy.
