The Head of State, who attended a wedding reception in observance of India’s 73rd Republic Anniversary on the Atlantic Ballroom, New Pegasus Hotel on Thursday night time, noted that India offers Guyana with the opportunity to improve its technology, especially as it relates to the agriculture sector. The President said that the two countries will work together to develop an agri-tech campus in Guyana to support the local food hub that is becoming developed. He added that over the next few months, several measures aimed at creating the particular eco-system in the agriculture field, focusing on high-value, new areas and innovations will be performed. Vice President, the Honourable Dr . Bharrat Jagdeo; additional Cabinet members, Government officials and members of the diplomatic community were also in the event.
