His Excellency Dr Irfaan Ali accepted the Letters of Credence from Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Guyana, Henk Ary Christian van der Zwan.
The simple ceremony took place today at the Office of the President on Shiv Chanderpaul Drive. President Ali was joined by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Honourable Hugh Todd and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Elisabeth Harper.
The two countries established diplomatic relations on May 15, 1970.
