President Ali participates in UNCTAD 15 World Leaders Summit



His Excellency Dr Irfaan Ali, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, spoke about vaccination polarisation and ways of fixing the development pathway, during the 15th United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) World Leaders Summit Dialogue III this morning in Bridgetown, Barbados.

The dialogue, which focused on key issues such as international cooperation and multilateralism was held under the theme “Building a more prosperous development path – matching the scale of the moment”.

President Ali; President of the Republic of Kenya, Mr Uhuru Kenyatta; Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr Imran Khan; Vice-President of the Dominican Republic, Ms Raquel Peña; Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, Ms Vera Songwe; Executive Director of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, Ms Winnie Byanyima; and President of the Inter-American Development Bank, Mr Mauricio Claver-Carone were all part of the speakers’ panel.
