His Excellency Dr Irfaan Ali, today, accepted the Letters of Credence from H.E Mario Chan as the Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to Guyana.
During the accreditation ceremony, President Ali said that Guyana and the Philippines share many ideals which provide the scope for enhanced bilateral relations in key areas, including agriculture.
President Ali was joined by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Honourable Hugh Todd and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Elisabeth Harper.
