Hon. Hugh Todd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation today participated in The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the countries of the European Union (EU) and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). This meeting was hosted by the Foreign Minister of Germany, Heiko Maas, for the rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU, and chaired by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission (HR/VP), Josep Borrell Fontelles in Berlin.
Minister Todd expressed appreciation to the European Union for their support to Guyana and other countries in addressing COVID-19. He also urged that the criteria be widen for other developing states to access coverage of under COVAX.
