In the framework of this visit, ways for even more assistance by Greece to deal with the devastating consequences from the earthquakes will also be examined. It is noted the Minister of Foreign Affairs has instructed our Permanent Mission in Geneva to do this so that emergency humanitarian support be provided to Türkiye and Syria through OCHA (United Nations Office for your Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs).
The Minister, who will become accompanied by his Turkish version, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu throughout the check out, will meet with members of the Greek Aid Mission, which is operating in the areas that have suffered devastating damage from the recent earthquakes.

In addition , Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andreas Katsaniotis, has carried out the coordination of organizations and individuals that wish to assist in the collection of humanitarian help for the affected areas within Türkiye and Syria.
Furthermore, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will go to the Operations Centre in Antakya and will be briefed on the latest developments concerning the evacuation plus rescue effort, as well as on the humanitarian needs that have arisen.
