Greece welcomes Saudi Arabia’s announcement regarding ways to achieve a comprehensive political solution to the crisis in Yemen. We view this announcement as a positive step and encourage all parties to support it and declare an immediate and full ceasefire.
We support the efforts undertaken by the UN Special Envoy for achieving peace in Yemen and underscore the importance for all parties to constructively engage with him in committing to a ceasefire and facilitating humanitarian aid.
Greece reiterates that a comprehensive political agreement remains the only solution to ending the crisis in Yemen.
