Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias to visit Pristina (08.06.2022)

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will visit Pristina tomorrow, Wednesday, June 8 2022.
The Minister will be received by the President, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, as well as by Besnik Bislimi, First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue and Chief Negotiator in the Pristina-Belgrade Dialogue.
During his stay in Pristina, the Minister of Foreign Affairs is expected to have a joint meeting with representatives of the International Community in Pristina (UNMIK, Council of Europe, OSCE, EULEX, EU/EUSR Office, KFOR and Ambassadors from the Quint countries, namely France, Germany, the UK, the USA and Italy).
In addition, a joint meeting between Mr. Dendias and the Ministers of Education, Science, Technology Innovation, Arberie Nagavci, and Culture, Youth Sports, Harjulla Ceku is also scheduled.
Lastly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will hold a one-on-one meeting with the Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, followed by a dinner to be hosted in his honour by the Kosovar Prime Minister.
Discussions during the visit are expected to focus on cooperation between Athens and Pristina in various fields, such as economy, energy, culture, science, health, education and tourism. In addition, the agenda of the talks will include the European perspective of the Western Balkans and developments regarding the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue.
It is noted that the Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the Kosovar Foreign Minister, Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz (who will be absent tomorrow), on the sidelines of the Delphi Economic Forum VII (in April), following her visit to Athens in January. Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias visited Pristina in June 2021 and October 2020.
