Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias to visit Ivory Coast, Ghana and Gabon (11-13. 01. 2023)

It is noted that this is the 6th trip of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as his 4th trip to West Africa, which demonstrates the importance that the Greek government attaches to the strengthening of our country’s relations using this region. Within the context of his trip to Ivory Coast, the first actually visit of a Greek International Minister to the country, the Minister of Foreign Affairs is scheduled to hold discussions with his counterpart Kandia Camara. In addition , the Minister is certainly scheduled to be received simply by President Alassane Dramane Ouattara. Furthermore, he is expected to meet with executives of the Africa Development Bank, and he will go to the Interregional Maritime Security Company (ISMI) at the port associated with Abidjan. During Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias’ tour to the above 3 West African countries, the signing of Memoranda associated with Understanding on bilateral cooperation in various sectors is being planned. More particularly, the Minister associated with Foreign Affairs will visit Ivory Coast (Abidjan, eleven. 01. 2023), Ghana (Accra, 12. 01. 2023) plus Gabon (Libreville, 13. 01. 2023). During his stay in the above countries, the Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) is expected to hold a series of bilateral meetings with mature officials. Upon January 12, during their second visit to Ghana (the first one took place in November 2021), the Minister of Foreign Affairs will hold a meeting with the Minister regarding Foreign Affairs and Local Integration, Shirley Ayorktor Botchwey in Accra. During their stay in Ghana, the Minister will visit the St . Nicholas Greek School in Tema, which is supported by contributions from Greek entrepreneurs operating in Ghana.
