First of all, I had a very interesting meeting earlier today with the UK Foreign Secretary, Mr. James Cleverly. I had met with him as Foreign Secretary in the Truss government, I am meeting him again as Foreign Secretary in the Sunak government. We took an overview of the situation following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but also of the issues in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Sahel region, North Africa, and the Gulf region. Aside from that, I had the opportunity, in the context of the Manama Dialogue Forum and the panel discussion I participated in, to reiterate the long-standing Greek positions both on the situation in Europe following the Russian invasion of Ukraine as well as on the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and the future of the region.
