Mr. Fragogiannis will also meet with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Tileuberdi and Deputy Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs responsible for International Economic Relations Almas Aidarov. During their stay in Kazakhstan, Mr. Fragogiannis and the Greek delegation will participate in the Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable (KGIR 2022), which will take place in Astana on October 19.
On Kazakhstan’s side, the meeting will be chaired by Yerzhan Yerkinbayev, Vice Minister of Culture and Sports.Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis, will travel to Kazakhstan on October 18, 2022, leading the Greek delegation for the 5th Session of the Joint Interministerial Committee for Economic and Technological Cooperation between Greece and Kazakhstan, to take place on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.During the Committee’s 5th Session, Mr. Fragogiannis, representing ENTERPRISE GREECE, will sing a Memorandum of Understanding with the corresponding entity of Kazakhstan KAZAKH INVEST, while the meeting will conclude with the signing of a relevant Protocol.The Minister of Rural Development and Food, George Georgantas, and the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Michael Papadopoulos, also participate at the delegation, accompanied by senior officials from the respective Ministries. The Committee’s meeting this year coincides with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Greece and Kazakhstan on October 6, sending a resounding message regarding the two sides’ political will to develop bilateral economic relations and bilateral trade.
