The project to transform Astypalea into the first “smart and sustainable” island of the Mediterranean was presented today by Deputy Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis, in the context of his online participation in the 6th London Business Summit, held today, Monday, March 21, 2022, at the London Stock Exchange.
The summit was organized by the Economist Group on the prospects of economic relations as regards trade and investment between the United Kingdom Greece and Cyprus, titled ‘UK-Greece-Cyprus: Taking Trade and Investment to the next level’.
Speaking in the session themed ‘Innovative Markets-Innovative business’, the Deputy Minister underscored the symbolic, inter alia, value of the Astypalea project, as it reflects Greece’s new image, an image of growth, progress and innovation.
