Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantinos Vlasis to attend the Holy Light ceremony at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem (Holy Saturday, 1 May 2021)

In the context of his responsibility for Religious and Church Affairs, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantinos Vlasis will travel by state aircraft to Israel on the morning of Holy Saturday, 1 May 2021, to attend the Holy Light Ceremony at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Before the Holy Light Ceremony, he will meet with His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem.

The Deputy Minister will return on the same day, arriving at Athens International Airport at 18:30, bringing the Holy Light.

The State has arranged for the transport of the Holy Light from the Holy Sepulchre to Athens, and from there to the rest of Greece. It does so with due reverence, humility and devoutness.
