Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Andreas Katsaniotis’ telephone conversation with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye (13.02.2023)

For his part, the Turkish Ambassador thanked the Deputy Minister for Greece’s support and provision of humanitarian aid. The Deputy Minister expressed his deepest sadness for the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and conveyed to the Turkish Ambassador the condolences of the Greek government and the Greek people for the tragic loss of human lives.  Mr. Katsaniotis reiterated Greece’s readiness to assist Türkiye in any way possible and briefed Mr. Erciyes in detail on all actions taken so far to coordinate the collection, and dispatch of humanitarian aid to the neighbouring country.
